Compassion Fatigue

Too many problems that I see
Whose problems should they be?
The last four years have lacked civility
Now I’m 17, and I classify my elders by their bigotry
Qualities that made US progressive
Gone askew, where’s your morals in regressing?
Fun with guns, disturb our peace & tranquility
Bow to lobbyists, we’ve lost our dignity
“Discuss” legislations- few are aggressive
Cuss about immigration- some of these people part of the US since adolescence.
Too many problems that I see
Whose problems should they be?
Are they mine or are they yours?
I think that they’re both
For ignorance is the cost of future wars.
One nation, one people.
One problem, decided among equals.
